We're a very similar country to Canada.
Similar history, similar people, similar economy, and a similar constitution.
We think we're sort of, you know, we don't appreciate that we're basically, the only difference between us and Canada is we're hot and they're cold.
But besides that, we're very similar.
Now what they do in Canada, when they wanted to, so you remember a few weeks, a couple of months ago, we had the party room ballot between Susan Lay and Agus Taylor.
And who voted in that?
About 60 people, the Liberal members of the Federal Parliament in the Senate and the House.
60 people voted for who's going to be the leader of half of Australia.
In Canada, under exactly the same situations, what they do is they have that leadership ballot, but every single member of the Conservative Party across Canada gets to have a vote.
And the last time they had a vote, 700,000 people voted.
Oh, really?
Okay, there you go.
And you only need to pay 20 bucks to become a member.
And when they have a ballot for leader, and this isn't just the Conservative Party in Canada, it's also their left-wing party.
And they do it to some extent in the UK, but they do it better in Canada.
And it goes on for about five months.
Not one of these Susan Leigh says, oh, I'm going to resign.
We're going to have a ballot next week, next Tuesday.
We've got three days to think about it.
