And so I became very sensitized.

I mean, I have to admit that was my civic awakening and I never forgot that, you know, not little did I,

imagine that some barely three decades later that I would be faced with distinct prospect that my government was going to go off the rails and just say, hey, the Constitution's in the way for a lot of some justifiable reasons, but many of them were just simply the excuse of not having to follow the law or exercise options that were in fact lawful.

So to say it, you know, just to sort of summarize, and I went in the military.

So one of the things in the military, because I was in the reconnaissance, the signals intelligence collection and analysis business, flying as an air crew member, as a cryptolinguist, voice processing specialist, listening in on adversaries of the United States and other areas of interest around the world,

We were absolutely forbidden with very narrowly scoped exceptions.

We could not listen in on what was called U.S.

person.

So a U.S.

person would be someone born in America or a legal resident of America.

And that could be whether it was domestic or overseas, by the way.

And interestingly enough, U.S.

corporations, there was very specific restrictions with criminal penalties.

And this was all under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

And that was updated since it went into effect under the Carter administration 78-5 times just to keep up with the times in terms of technology.

It wasn't the case as was later when they tried to justify violating the FISA and the Fourth Amendment.

It was out of date and couldn't keep up.

That is not true at all.
