And it it's I'm gonna have to I'm very cynical here.
It really is the base human condition.
It's it's the systemic nature of simply exploiting it for other purposes.
And it's not necessarily in the best interest of in this case, you just become a data sensor.
They don't care that you're a human being.
They don't care that you have feelings.
They're just going to collect it all and figure out ways to exploit it.
So more data, more targeting, more engagement, less friction.
Guess what?

It's an extraordinary surveillance environment.
Thanks for having me back.
Well, it's quite a story.
It goes back now several decades in terms of its origins.
Because I grew up in the 1970s as a very young teenager during a period in which a lot of scandals came out, a lot of investigations, church pipe committee hearings, revealing just how far the government had gone in violating the rights of Americans in secret.
And there was a number of laws that were put into effect after that, reform laws, to sort of stem the tide of what sort of was the early days of the surveillance state as it began to emerge.
And that was the analog era of information.
But the government had gone quite far than anybody can do.
Daniel Ellsberg, in terms of the bright and shining light of Vietnam, a president resigned their office because, in fact, he was engaging in criminal acts.
He was even using the intelligence agencies to go after his enemies.
