Appearances
Yeah, it's fascinating.
We're all kind of looking at each other and looking at what everyone's doing and sort of trying to uh experience new things, which, you know, those things maybe not be new for different markets, different countries, but for us they're new.
And I one thing I've noticed a lot actually, it's interesting you mention incense, because I've noticed lots of especially niche brands now, will do incense sticks or incense cones as part of their offering, which I would say ten years ago would be really, really rare.
Are you seeing
both of you with the work that you're doing that actually there is a a not just a difference in trends of what the types of smells are, but in terms of the types of products that people want.
Is that changing a lot for both of you?
It's that individualistic aspect, isn't it?
People wanting something bespoke, something that's fully theirs.
Moving away from the idea of a signature scent because people want to wardrobe, they want to wear more fragrance, but also giving it their own personal touch and experimenting and playing themselves, which I think is really, really, really fun.
Now I I kind of touched on it earlier that I s you know, I said they feel like the role of an evaluator or a fragrance development manager is such an unsung hero of the industry.
Because it's such a a crucial role.
So for anyone who's listening who doesn't know what you do, um, can you describe the role?
I know that's a really hard question when someone basically says, what is it that you do?
Um, but what what what is it that you do?
What what is the role of a fragrance development manager?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well you're project managing, like like you say, so you're pulling all those threads.
It's really interesting to hear that you're thinking about not only the olfactory sh olfactive shape of what you're creating in terms of is it meeting the brief, you know, is the client happy with what they're smelling, but also is it regulatory compliant?
And then also, you know, um factoring in things like production and timescales.
