So we talk with our kids about effort and attitude.
And so my husband and I, they know those two things are the things we care about the most.
Like, I don't care what your report card says when you come home.
Like, did you give it your best effort?

Were you a good friend?
Were you, you know, things like that.

And so I think this has allowed us to start those conversations really early on with our whole family.
And I think it kind of helps to keep the sibling rivalry at bay too.
When we're talking about, you know, Hey, you know, it was really great how hard you worked on that or remember how frustrated you were when you were trying to do that math problem and you somehow found a way to tackle it or, you know, Hey, you really helped your friend understand something or, you know, those two friends make up with each other when they were in a fight or whatever it is.
We kind of try to praise that part of it, not just, you know, Oh, you got them
right.
