And quite honestly, I'm offended that I'm sharing space with people who didn't know what the straight was before three months ago.

who could not name the bordering country of Iran before, even today, who don't even know what the Caspian Sea is.

And we are presented to the audience on equal footing, as though we are equal, as though their lack of intellect and their traffic and personal insults and regurgitating right-wing extremist talking points somehow...

is equivalent to an honest foreign policy argument.

And that's the space that we're navigating.

So I love seeing the protests.

I love seeing the frustration.

But I think we have to have honest, unfiltered conversation with each other right now on what the other part of this society looks like as we see the core pillars of our democracy crumbling, quite frankly.

But I just want to say thank you again to you, Don, Joy, and Jim.

for picking up the pieces, getting right back out there, and being independent media for us to support.

I do want to caution, though, even in the independent media conversation, that we have to also highlight the difference between journalists and people who have enough money to buy a podcast microphone and get a YouTube channel, because these are two different things.

And we've seen what happens when audiences routinely tune out

from legacy media or Reddit journalists, and they start tuning into people who say things that are not always true, and this eagerness to be the first to say something.

Everybody is not a journalist.

You're looking at Joy, Don, and Jim are journalists, you know, on screen.

And I just think as we get more to a dis-aggregated space, we're going to have some trouble with folks who call themselves journalists who, quite frankly, are not.

And I just want to say quickly, Don, I navigated newsrooms for 25 years.

I studied journalism at the Clark Atlanta University.

I built newsrooms.

I got my start at CNN back in 2000.
