Learning to really value a greater range of friendships, understanding that really a life with lots of friends in it is a life with lots of different kinds of friends and different styles of friends and different forms of friendship.
And I think once I kind of really got the measure of that, I feel like I'm very rich in friends.
But that's because I have some very, very old friends and very close friends, but I also have all kinds of friends that I have met in all kinds of different circumstances and stay in touch with in different ways.
And I value all of them.
And that is a real gift to me.
It wasn't always like that, but that is what I've come to.
I love that.
