She will be uh November ballot candidate for insurance commissioner, and she'll be up again.
against Republican House Speaker Dan Hawkins, a Wichita Republican uh who's uh and so I think these you have two knowledgeable, experienced politicians here going toe to toe.
Also in the November election, we're gonna have a race for Secretary of State.
That's the office in which uh is the Chief Elections Officer of Kansas.
And Scott Schwab, who has held that job, also ran for uh the Republican nomination for governor and didn't get it.
And so he's gonna be exiting the scene as well.
And so what we have is Leavenworth Republican Pat Proctor, he's a state representative.
He has the Republican nomination.
The Democrat nomination was won by Jennifer Day.
And uh that that'll be interesting to see.
Uh I think Pat Proctor has spent the last few years reshaping Kansas election law to maybe uh a lot of people believe help Republicans and maybe help himself.
Uh but we'll see how this goes, right?
So for somebody who doesn't really have high name recognition, you're essentially the threshold is you for a statewide office.
Uh uh the party nomin major party nominee needs a million bucks.
Mm.
Some people can do it.
I wanted to ask you about one other thing before we get out of here, and that is uh there were a series of Democratic gubernatorial debates uh in the primary.
