And that's my issue.
The supermarket is a force for good.
They supply a lot of food at reasonable prices for an ever-growing and demanding population.
I have a choice.
I don't need to deal with them.

They don't have to buy from me.

We've bought into a business in Portugal because in the UK we have labour rates which are now costing the business over £15 an hour.
In Portugal, it's less than half that.
But it's all leveraged.
What I do is like being in a casino.
I could lose a lot of crop if we had a frost.
I could lose a lot of crop if the government suddenly decided that wages had to be put up by 10%, or they decide to cancel visas.
There's no...
assurance from the government that I can get labour even next year, yet I'm being asked to invest millions of pounds upfront in order to create a crop next year.
No other industry would do this.
If the government said to Nissan Cars, build a plant in Swindon and employ a thousand people, but we're not going to tell you what the labour is and we're not even going to tell you if you can get a thousand people.
