So it's it's a lovely, lovely thing.
I this is the hill on which I'm prepared to die, no question about it.
The the when when the hamburger was originally invented, the original thing was something called a Salisbury steak, which was attempting to be a steak, and you'd have it on a plate with some sauce and a knife and fork.
And the breakthrough with the hamburger was and it was th it was designed to be sold to be s to be eaten standing up at one of the American World's Fairs.
And the brilliant idea was, Hey, we get some cheap bread, people won't have to have a plate and a knife and fork.
And so you really want cheap you want a cheap burger that doesn't have any flavour at all.
God not sourdough.
And please, please not brioche.
You don't need any of that nonsense at all.
You want something that's got a kind of leathery outside so it's not gonna break up and spill down your shirt.
And the inside's gotta be like cotton wool.
But that's about it.
Do you know, I think the the amazing thing now now you've got me talking about it, this has got me thinking.
The really amazing thing
about a really, really good burger is it's made up of things that aren't.
You get meat that isn't really you put it around cheese that isn't really cheese.
You make it put it cover it with sauce that isn't sauce.
And to finish it all off you put it between two pieces of bread that aren't really bread.
And the amazing thing is back to the Gaston.
It's the whole beautiful thing in one go.
