And this is something the RBA has highlighted repeatedly, is that if you're on a high LVR loan, you're much more vulnerable to changes in your circumstances or changes in the economic environment.
And absolutely, for a first home buyer with a small deposit, they're in that category.
So fingers crossed they don't lose their jobs or there's no material fallout in the economy.
Negative equity only becomes a problem if you need to sell the property.
