Now we find that Theia most likely comes more from the inner solar system, which was assumed to be a more dry place.
Generally, closer to the sun, it's hotter, so there's less water in the bodies.
That means Theia could not have brought a lot of water to the Earth.
For me, this paper reads kind of like a planetary whodunit, where we're trying to figure out how do we form the Earth-Moon system.
