Uh we have a lot of pressing issues, uh housing, uh climate.

We're actually working on our climate action plan, but right now our biggest problem is our budget.

We have a hundred million or a hundred million dollar

Expenses, but we only had $95 million in projected income.

Uh part of the problem was we lost some large sales tax generator businesses in the city, plus everything else has gone down in revenue.

So how do you come up with a five million dollar answer?

So we polled the community, uh, we got a 66% favorable revenue.

Rating on putting a sales tax measure on the ballot, a half cent sales tax, to raise up to seven million dollars per year.

And so we hope that this map ballot measure will pass, but it's really up to our community to make that decision.

The council is not supporting the measure one way or the other.

We're just saying we have this budget deficit, here's a good way to

Try to solve the problem.

So that's on our election for next Tuesday.

Climate is a big issue for us, and like I said, we're working on our climate action plan.

We just passed a nitrous oxide gas emissions standard.

There was something called REACH Codes that came up a while ago to try to prevent gas stoves.

That there was a lawsuit.
