They were like, What do we do about Sea World and everything else?
And I said, I want you to go home
And hold him.
And I want you to say to him, Now keep in mind, this is a little boy who's been punished day after day after day for something he couldn't help.
I want you to go home and I want you to pull him onto your lap and I want you to say

Something like this.
That you've been trying really, really hard to be at school.
You've been trying so hard and it's just really, really hard for you to be there.
Is that right?
And I just I got moved to tears in that moment because I thought what that experience would be like for that six year old.
To finally have his parents
see what the struggle was and who he was and what he was trying to do.
It's so powerful.
We all want to be seen.
