Before we start into all things comedy and what you do with your work, I'm curious to kind of know a little bit more about yourself, because I know you were actually born in Japan, but then quickly moved to the States, to Arizona.

You were born in Japan, but soon moved to the United States, to Arizona.

What was it like for you?

I think you moved at an age where you kind of already get a sense for your environment.

You already go to school, preschool, maybe have some first friends.

And suddenly you move overseas to the States.

What was that like for you?

This kind of revelation of, well, actually.

You spent the, the, all those years in Arizona, uh, hanging out with the, your Mexican friends, uh, but with a kind of, um, culturally mixed, uh, home, uh, part Japanese, part American.

Um, what parts of, of Japan did you keep at the time?

So that's one thing that you kept throughout all those years.

So no shoes at home, even though the rule was with a caveat.

Yeah.

And that's when your mom said she's Japanese.

But you said that aside from that, she never really spoke too much to you in Japanese.

Did you take some lessons?

Did you learn the language at all?

Or was this kind of never really on the table?
