A tattoo is just not possible.
You should not do this because that shape on this placement or this shape or this tattoo on your skin type is not going to work.
It's not going to give the client the look they want.
And you have to kind of like really work with them to change something or maybe even sometimes convince them to not proceed with something.
I did see on your current studio that there are some tattoos that you don't do.
Oh, yes.
For example, you don't finish another artist's work, which is totally understandable.
But also, so you don't do things like from covering up some tattoos or scars.
Why did you decide to kind of exclude some certain types of work?
So now, as you said, you have the privilege to focus on the things you like because you've got a loyal customer base and a lot of interested people in working with you.
And they're interested in working with you at your own studio.
If you go back a few years towards the end of your apprenticeship, at what point did you start feeling like you were ready or good enough or like, I want to do my own thing here in Japan?

Tattooing itself has a lot of history in Japan, a lot of stigma attached to it as well.
And therefore, I imagine a sort of legal framework that was making it easier, more complicated to do tattoos.
So for you, especially at the time as a foreigner here in Japan...
