How did it work to set up a shop?

I know for comparison with Korea, to my understanding that they require you to have a medical license to basically tattoo someone, which is therefore limiting strongly who is legally tattooing.

I don't know if it's changed since, but that was kind of what I had read before.

How was it in Japan?

I think there's an artist, I don't know where he's located, but he still does these very Jomon style tattoos.

Is he in Kanazawa or?

So is the court case the one you're talking about, the one that was kind of headed by Taiki?

Yeah, that's the case.

He's the one who did my tattoo.

Oh, that's interesting.

So that was a story that was introduced to me when I kind of got tattooed that he was the one and I was shown all the papers on the news because I didn't really know.

So that really took quite a few years to kind of get because, yeah, just before COVID that ended.

Oh.

Because he's got plenty now.

So the tattoo community won that court case, but you mentioned that the industry is still not very much regulated.

So if we go back to when you established your shop, what were the requirements for you to establish a shop?

Were there like a licensing system that you can operate this category of business here in Japan?
