They thought that they were going to be released into Spain because of a court ruling that required asylum all of a sudden.
But hang on.
The clock is ticking out.
Literally, you have until the new Congress is sworn in in January of next year to make sure that this gets through, the legislative part of this gets through.
Because of that, all the polls are showing and a lot of people are naysaying that Democrats are going to take the House and maybe even the Senate.
It's never, you have no chance at all to get changes to the 1980 Refugee Act through the
after January, in my opinion, and in the opinion of a lot of people.
So what I'm arguing is for the Trump administration to hurry up
Get those amendments through.
Don't do it as part of some comprehensive immigration bill.
It just needs to be some amendments.
