I knew that the team was working on a version that would work on a Mac, and I thought, I want to get my hands on this as soon as I can.
And so this is actually how I met and became friends with Jesse, was writing to him and saying, I want this version you're working on.

Yeah, absolutely.
Actually, funny story.
I was a beta tester and was helping out with some of the YNAB 3 things, helping Aaron, our lead educator, on a lot of the help docs and things like that.
And in my spare time, and I wrote to Jesse and said, I think you should hire me.
And his response actually was now we're good.
Oh my gosh, that's so crazy.
And it was maybe six months later, I got an email from him out of the blue.
Um, and he said, Hey, are you, are you still interested?
Yeah.
Uh, so that's, that's actually how I got the first job.
But you've been doing this a long time.
In the favorites section of my photos on my phone, I keep a picture of the very first budget that my wife and I made when we moved in together in, let me get this right, July of 2000.
