So it's been reported that this is now coming from the Americans as well, but that's not confirmed by the United States.
So what exactly is going on, and whether this is genuinely one part of the United States warning about what another part of the United States government might do, because the scenario they're putting forward is Russia doing something in collaboration with the US to isolate Poland,
We just don't know.
The suspicion, of course, is that all of this is happening right in front of the NATO summit in Ankara to get more attention to the fact that the United States should be looking after its interests in Europe as opposed to trying to pull back from them.
No, not really true.
This stuff comes around from time to time.
The bolstering the security is a good example of how things get seized out of context and taken out of proportion.
This massive increase in his personal protection is actually just an increase from 770-odd to 812 people in the central staff of an organization which is tens of thousands strong, which looks after the whole of the government.
But everybody's desperate for some kind of optimism.
And they are leaning on the fact that now Ukraine does, in fact, genuinely have the initiative again in this war and turning that into the imminent collapse of Russia.
But we've been here many times before and it doesn't happen.
Well, they're not willing, unfortunately.
They are losing more slowly.
But it's definitely the case that over the last few months, there's a whole different tenet of the war because Ukraine is succeeding in some of its long-term objectives, bringing the war home to the population in Russia, making sure that they feel the effects of this war and they can't pretend it's something that's happening to other people a long way away.
isolating Crimea, that occupied peninsula, which they're now cutting off from fuel and logistics supplies from the Russian mainland in order that it becomes unsustainable.
All of these things have been plans that have been long, long in development by Ukraine.
And now they're starting to bear fruit because Ukraine's developed its own capabilities after it was denied them by the coalition that was supporting it.
Yeah, very worried about them.
And they've been the best team in this entire World Cup cycle, haven't they?
