you find me in kansas city which has become my home away from home because england's training base is based in kansas city which is confusingly not in kansas it's in missouri or at least kansas city is split between the two but england's training base and my hotel are both in missouri and it's where after every game despite not actually playing in kansas city which is a host city uh we come back every time after each of these uh matches they've played uh to come back here before we fly off again
And in this circumstance, obviously, I had a semi-final.

England, to be fair, have...
uh had a lot of experience in recent years in major tournaments in going very deep not historically obviously 1966 is still the one we talk about over and over again because it was the only time we ever won the world cup and the only time we've ever won a major tournament but uh in the euros um we've reached the last two finals obviously lost both times but that was still a fantastic achievement to make it that far we made the semi-final of the world cup uh somewhat surprisingly back in 2018 which sort of sparked this kind of
relative success without actually winning the trophy in the last decade or so.
Funny enough, the best we ever played, probably under predecessor Gareth Southgate, obviously it's Thomas Tuchel now, came in the 2022 World Cup where we got knocked out in the quarterfinals.
So our sort of worst result effectively compared to the other tournaments, but we played fantastically well there and lost to France.
Yeah, they're playing with a lot of determination.
