So I I still think that the lesson is that the the DSA still they still have energy, they still have you know activism on their side, and they've proven that they can win not just in deep blue urban districts, but in statewide races in Michigan and now almost in in a place like Wisconsin.
Crowley certainly is, I think, now the favorite um be just because if you look at if you Wisconsin's very much a a swimming state, it's one that Trump has won twice, albeit very very, very narrowly.
But in this year, with Democrats running about seven points ahead of Democrats running seven points ahead of Republicans in the generic congressional ballot, it's it's definitely shaping up to be a good democratic year.
The early polls show show Crowley ahead by a couple of points.
And um he's certainly ahead in sort of the betting markets, if you look at those.
So he heads into this race as as the favorite.
Um and we'll see though whether whether he's able to stand up to the scrutiny of a of a statewide campaign because he's not tested at that level.
Michelle Tefoya is um I mean she's she's running as the supernormy, if you will, right?
She's not she's not a particularly partisan person.
She's certainly not a is not a standard issue politician.
And and her, even though she's running on the Republican ticket, I mean her entire appeal was to sort of, you know, g restore common sense that the world had sort of spun off its axis.
And um
I that message obviously resonated with Republican voters, but the question is whether it resonates with independents and even some Democrats in a state like Minnesota, you know, given the current political environment.
I mean, the good news for her is that
You know, Peggy Flanagan, who won on the on the Democratic side, she's very far to the left.
It's huge, obviously, because the midterms are lower turnout elections, and you need to motivate your base first and foremost.
To have the Republican Party split like that, and also to have an enthusiasm gap where Democrats are much, much more –
eager to turn out in November or telling pollsters they are than Republicans.
I mean, those two things bode very ill for Republicans.
