nothing, 100 to 0 in favor of that, Democrats will be going to the wall against it.
And so, and ironically, it has been an issue that has split Republicans.
The Republican base, MAGA voters in particular, cannot understand why Republicans in Washington, D.C.
will not
find the votes and pass this.
And President Trump has been very outspoken in terms of bashing John Thune and other Republicans for not getting this done.
And so ironically, it's an issue that is depressing the Republican base because Republicans are in control and can't seem to get this passed.
Meanwhile, Democrats are unified against it, even though it's an issue that the public is against them on overwhelmingly.
The Texas economy isn't great.
People have concerns about affordability.
The Hispanic vote in Texas, which was very strong for Donald Trump in 2024, is now by double digits in Tallarico's corner
in this race.
I don't think security fraud is mainstream in Texas or some of the other problems that Paxton's, I don't think paying $6 million or millions of dollars out to whistleblowers because of the abuse of them by Paxton, who they blew the whistle on, is mainstream.
I don't think that's what people think in Texas.
But I think at the end of the day, people are going to want someone who's going to speak to their concerns.
And this is not their main concern.
