That's the data that's coming back that the average respondent expected to earn between $50,000 and $60,000 in their first year out of college.
And that's, again, combining engineering degrees, accounting degrees, liberal arts degrees, what have you, and banding that across for an average.
The number one factor in a company was corporate culture.
The number two factor in the position was work-life balance.
So most importantly, they want to work for a company that has the culture that emulates what they want.
Now, not all people want to have fun and partying and work hard, play hard environment.
Some people want quiet and
and very analytical type environments, and it's finding the right place, but that culture.
And then secondarily, from their personal side, after opportunities for growth, they want a work-life balance.
Now, whether that means they want to have Fridays off in the summer, or they want to be able to work from home, it's all a little bit gray, but they want to know that a company's culture values them having lives outside of the office.
I'm in line with you.
It's definitely where the majority of candidates of seniors are going, and juniors for that matter, are going to career fairs.
One, at their college or university.
and two, in the towns with which they live.
And so they start there, and that's for employers to go, and it really is kind of the definition of shooting fish in a barrel versus trying to do one-on-one interviews with whoever only signs up.
It's become much more in vogue, and due to social media, it's easier to advertise job fairs now more than ever before.
