We spend a lot of time and effort looking at these people and building a file on these people. So we increase the chance that we actually find this guy and arrest him. It's not a simple process. It's a long, drawn-out process, but it'd be so much more efficient if you just give us the bad guy in the jail. That would save thousands and thousands of hours of investigative work.

If you locked them in the jail cell, why not give them to us when you're done with them? And you got sheriffs out there, well, we can't under-detain them. We can't hold them for 48 hours on your word because there's some legal precedent that can't be done. If we don't hold them for 40 hours, why don't you call us before you release them?
