There was just a report by my friend Dan Lamothe over at The Washington Post saying, you know, it's going to take months to clear out mines and other hazards and obstacles here.
And he just doesn't understand that he he he screwed up and he wants it all to go back the way it was.
And that's not going to happen.
Yeah, I think he's bored with it.
I think he's frustrated with it.
I think, you know, the the thing he expected, which, you know, regime collapse in a week and build stat.
I bring this up every time they build a statue and, you know, he'd have a victory parade and then he'd move on to the next thing.
um didn't happen and when that when trump runs into situations like that he says fine screw it i don't want to do this anymore i'm bored i'm taking my toys i'm going to go home but that's not how international diplomacy works that's not how how wars work so he could get out of this by simply picking one of the things that he claims he wanted for example um for a while he was talking about no nuclear weapons you know we've achieved that
He could end the war tomorrow by saying, I achieved what I wanted to achieve.
Iran has agreed not to make nuclear weapons.
Iran agreed 10 years ago not to make nuclear weapons.
I don't know that I trusted them about that, but I also think there were other ways of dealing with them besides this kind of clumsy war.
But he could pick one of those things.
and just get out of it.
And I think he just doesn't know how to do that in part.
And this is the interesting part, Charles, I think in part because the Iranians aren't letting them off the hook.
The Iranians are kind of, you know, he wanted to touch that hot stove and the Iranians are kind of keeping him stuck there by not taking any of these deals.
And I, you know, it's a very weird situation for the United States to be in that we're trying to coerce them to accept our, our urge to end the war.
Well, to go back to Iran for a minute, we have that shocking report that while they were trying to rescue these downed pilots, they basically gave him shiny things to go play with and keep him out of the room because he was more of a distraction
um than a than a leader um which you know it's just an astonishing report to read about a president of the united states but i think all this comes down to all this chaos all of this this madness comes down to um he ran i during the campaign i said he ran to stay out of jail to get revenge on his enemies and to line his pockets
