We all speak from our perception and our experience and how we perceived his experiences of his own circumstances go back to the 1980s.
And that's, again, something else to remind ourselves of is the FBI of 2026 is very different from the FBI of the mid 80s.
If you were to bring an agent back from that era and have them go to work today, they would be
struck by the changes, I would have to adapt.
And I've only been out six years.
It's constantly changing.
And often in response to case law, the case law is ever evolving.
And for example, you mentioned the Steele dossier.
One of the mistakes the FBI made in its application to a FISA court at one time was not being able
not providing adequate information to the court about the sort of history of how that document came about, who initially initiated it.
And the FISA court correctly was very critical of the Bureau for that.
