He sees himself as someone who is a victim of the financial circumstances of his life, who was doing something to keep his head above water that he would one day make right.
And that was basically the the the line that I threw him.
And he latched onto it and said that that was the problem.
Uh he was having financial problems.
He was gonna try to make it right to these people, but then one thing led to another, you know, you get to your sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth.
By the time you're on your twelfth guy that you ripped off, you could just keep rolling at that point because they got someone's gotta pay the light bills.

Because and the reason it's so important to me to get the confession from these people, even though I can prove the case in a financial crime without it, is because it supercharges the case through the uh federal the criminal justice system.
At that point, I don't need to kind of like follow all the money and figure out, you know, how what which credit card was he paying down?
What was he buying with this credit card and all that?
I can just package the case up, bring it to the U.S.
attorney's office and with the signed confession on day.
um on the front page and then the interviews with the victims and the limited financial analysis and it rises to the top of the heap because the US attorney's office, the federal prosecutors, know that they're not gonna have to waste the taxpayers' money taking this one to trial.
This one is a plea.
