Yeah, I mean, I could have flown to Columbus, Ohio and knocked on his door.
I've done that for clients.
This client thought that maybe the best thing would be to send an email, like a demand letter, basically, with the attachment of the undelivered FBI referral report as sort of a –
promise of what could happen.
And so instead of negotiating, instead of coming up with a payment plan, instead of explaining to me that this was not an investment scam and I've gotten it all wrong, which happens sometimes, he went out and hired a lawyer to write me a letter.
chastising me for sending him my letter and saying that I'm trying to extort his client and this is a crime that I'm committing.
And so he's paying a lawyer a good bit of money to threaten me, not understanding that my clients have the right as citizens who've been ripped off in a fraud to contact the FBI if they choose.
But they certainly have the right to ask for their money back.
And there's no obligation that they report this to the FBI.
Well, I mean, legally, I'm not allowed to hold a gun to his head and say the FBI.
But I'm not even promising that the FBI is going to open an investigation.
I'm just going to say that we're going to pursue all legal remedies in this situation.
Just pay my back.
Like if a guy steals your purse and you're not your purse, but a purse.
and is running down the street with it, you say, hey, man, stop.
Give me my purse back or I'm calling the cops.
Are you extorting him?
