um, broadly speaking, as public support.
So there there is there is of course nuance in all of this, and maybe the economy is the one that is the sort of elephant in the room.
But even there, I mean, you can still see p the people are persuadable on these matters.
I think they're just also in a situation where
They have economically and cost of living-wise been suffering for quite a long time.
So any argument which sounds like more harsh medicine is one that isn't going to land a sort of thing.
But this is exactly what I'm saying though.
Well, I straight also people wouldn't people wouldn't be quite as scratchy and infuriated as they might otherwise be.
But nevertheless, a man in the women's toilet is going to be a problem in good times or in bad.
An illegal migrant rapist being allowed to run amok is going to be a problem in good times or in bad.
And also I think these things are just sort of interconnected.
Um and also I think p the general drift over the past ten years is that there has been a chunk of the British electorate, to some extent a sort of silent majority, who has
felt pushed out of the democratic process, which has been in various different ways reasserting itself.
Brexit defecting to the Conservative Party, whether it might have been reform, of course now.
Um and I think that I think people start
By a more democratic politics, we can also get to the heart of a lot of these economic issues as well.
Because whilst of course, if you look at some of these individual policy measures, things like a mansion tax, things like a wealth tax poll particularly well, that's in the absence of a proper debate about them, I think it's fair to say.
But you know, other things like one of the core issues that this country faces, both in terms of spending but also in terms of the drag anchor on growth it represents, the welfare bill, there is a very sensible majority who say that this is
at hand.
And actually, if you go further down the income scale, working class people in particular are very aware of the issue of welfare dependency and think it should be dealt with.
