And whilst Piddington is a tiny place and it's not necessarily, you know, indicative of how the entire country is going to sway, I think it shows that the longer this crisis goes.

There was something in the a survey in the Times the other week which said that 57% of people now would support detention upon arrival for illegal migrants/asylum seekers, depending on your particular persuasion.
So, yeah, it's the roar of the waitroes mums, it's the acceptable.
if we're being honest, in as far as the mainstream media are concerned, backlash against illegal migration.
I can't be the only one who was struck that they haven't been called far right thugs to the same degree that other migrant hotel protesters and so on have been called.
But it I think it's it's it's proof that this uh issue isn't going anywhere.
Even as the numbers come down, I think people realise it's not going to zero and therefore there's a hell of a lot of more backlash to come.

Yeah.
No, absolutely.
And on the one hand it is kind of not sabre rattling like plastic sabre rattling.
Like no one really expects something to properly kick off here, neither side could actually wage any kind of conflict.
