I think there is a couple of things I'd lay out about this before we get into it.

One of which is that I think we do have an increasing problem with scandal mongering as a kind of political weapon in British politics and British media.

And what I mean by that is not to say that in all instances there's no bad smell to a particular story, that there is no story that there is no.

It's just that something is taken, sort of leapt upon, turned into a kind of totalizing, unprecedented, never before seen kind of story, and then used as a stick with which to beat in particular populist upstart off and right wing parties.

Um, meanwhile, you know, it doesn't take a particularly long memory to remember that after the 2015 election, you had the Conservatives fine more than £70,000 for failing to declare or not profit.

Properly declaring around like 300,000 pounds worth of donations.

There's a whole kind of labor together scandal, which I could bore everyone to tears by explaining.

But gasely again boiling down to a kind of very pro-Starmer think tank, the people who led it ending up being key parts of the Starmer government, again, failing to declare large amounts of donations, and then crucially also commissioning a organization to produce a report to discredit the journalists that.

At Sunday Times, potentially who had produced those allegations and published them in the newspaper.

So I'm not trying to sound like a kind of cynic, everyone's at it, whatever.

But at the same time, one one must always take these stories, first of all, subject them to scrutiny.

This is um not yet a kind of cut and dry legal case, by stretch the imagination.

Also kind of putting it into perspective so that the it doesn't allow itself to be too weaponized.

The other part of the story, though, of course, is that.
