And essentially it boils down to because of the electoral law prohibiting.

Foreign companies from making donations to British political parties, this would be an arrangement in which, and what seems to have happened, is that a a poll would be commissioned, it would be paid for by, again, the British son of this American businessman, and that that was a that this is being presented as a potential breach of electoral law, a kind of way to get around what the letter of the law says in order to enable a donation in kind, if not exactly.

Exactly in form, as it were.

And it's now naturally turning into a big, enormous story.
