We need to bring this under control.

We're on an unsustainable path.

That means structural change.

We have the second highest electricity costs in the country.

We also have, it's delivered through enforceable legal monopolies.

We have to introduce competition into that system because monopolies always produce the worst service at the highest cost because they're a monopoly.

And if you don't like it, you don't have a choice.

I don't think the people who work at utilities are bad people.

I think structurally they're doing the job they think they're hired to do, which is deliver returns to their shareholders.
