It was unfortunate because at that stage we'd won the league the year before.

Things were going through a rocky patch and just a bit of negativity came into it and

the whole thing just the whole thing started to crumble and unfortunately Mark and I think did Alan go as well but anyway Smalley left and within what six months or a year he was then brought into Saracens by Brendan Venter Venter
