It's without a doubt a land-stealing campaign.
And here's the current state of the union.
There's over 700,000 Israeli settlers in the West Bank.
And this is internationally known as Palestinian land.
Treaties have been signed, which then the Israelis will say, well, technically it wasn't, or this is Judea-Samara.
And basically the Israelis are operating under the belief, the more extremist ones,
that this land was owed to them by god promised to them by god and the israeli settlers have been a problem even amongst the israeli government for decades where you have prime ministers from israel in the 60s saying that they are a cancerous group that they are breaking international law that they should be stopped however it has persisted because
Basically, the first way that it started, they had a leader, I forget the rabbi's name, but he marched into an inn, a hotel, and he told the innkeeper, we are going to celebrate Passover.
We're, I think, Swiss tourists and we'll leave in the morning.
Sure enough, he wakes up and him and his group of devoted followers say this inn is now ours.
And so then the Israeli government was faced with a pickle.
do they forcefully remove these israeli settlers where they're dragging them away and that's just bad optics to drag jewish people out of their homeland that's promised or do they send troops to back them up and allow them to keep that land and that has been the tactic that they allowed them to stay and then they just slowly encroach on more and more villages
And I interviewed a Palestinian dad who made many, many millions of dollars in the United States, I would guess, just based off his compound that he has in Palestine.
He has these beautiful brick mansions.
And even with that, the settlers that allow these youth that they call the hilltop youth, it's kind of an extremist gang that they torture animals for fun.
They throw a bunch of cocktails at houses, cars, property.
They mercilessly beat grandmas, children, teenagers.
They poison water wells.
They basically are this little homeless group of extremists that they go into your house.
They take stuff out of your fridge.
