But, you know, because I keep raising competitive balance,

It's a subject that I'll just put into the competitive balance basket.

Assistant coaches, I think the standard deal is three years pretty much these days, but it's not really.

And I'll tell you for why.

Because most of the poorer clubs, and certainly I'll include the Suns in that category.

I'm not sort of saying it's not us.

And there's quite a few of them.

I would say there's eight of the 18 clubs.

When they give an assistant coach his contract, it's got a three-month get-out clause, right?

So yes, it's a three-year contract because that's what the Coaches Association have got in place, but it's not really.

So how does that competitively imbalance the system?

I'll tell you.

So if I'm an assistant coach and I live in Melbourne and I get offered a job at North Melbourne,

from something else, then that's no issue because I'm not having to move anywhere.

I'm just going to drive across town and be an assistant coach.

But in Tasmania, there's a big but here.

So in Tasmania...

There's just no way in the world they'll get assistant coaches if they're going to offer them a clause that says three months.

So you move your whole family to Hobart and then you've got basically three months certainty of your job.

You move your whole family to the Gold Coast and you've got three months certainty.
