You move your whole family from Sydney, say, to Perth and you've got three months cover on your contract.

It's just rubbish.

I mean, it's just garbage.

We're awash with money, we're told, and we should be.

Um, I, I just, uh, if I was president of the assistant coaches association, I would be thumping the table on this one because it's just simply unfair.

Now I'm not saying everybody gets a guaranteed three years because that, that would be unfair the other way, but you've got to make a minimum contract period.

I believe at least 12 months, at least for all assistant coaches, not, not just because

You know, Carlton can afford to give their assistant coaches a guaranteed three-year deal.

You've got to make sure that even the poor end of town can do the right thing.

Otherwise, assistant coaches just becomes a farce, really, in my book.

Well, not with three months job security.

Again, it's a simple fix.

We can change 50 rules every year, but we can't change these really critical parts of the puzzle that are so important to every club.

Yeah, interesting, wasn't it?

So they had a season launch of the AFL-W, which they tell us they're taking seriously.

They're really giving the women's game, you know, both barrels.

And yet the launch consisted of four Victorian clubs.

So that begs the question, there's 18 clubs.

What happened to the other 14 clubs?
