If you look at it in the last five years, minimum wage has increased by 40%.
And you've got to remember, this is probably the most labour intensive sector that we have out there.
Auto enrolment came in, sick days, increasing energy costs, increasing food costs.
They've been hit with a tsunami.
And it was up to us to make those businesses viable because they employ about 150,000 people in the economy, which is not a small amount of people.
But this is not going to be passed on.
You accept that, do you?
In some cases, it will be passed on, but in the majority of cases, it's about viability and about these companies and restaurants surviving.
You were talking to employees and you were talking to business owners.
We forgot to mention there that also hairdressers benefit from this.
It's still just very surprising.
And like it is quite a reduction.
It's going from 12.5% down to 9%.
And what people don't realise is that that VAT on hospitality, the food comes in normally at zero.
And then it's added on at the end.
So they're collecting a full, unlike other businesses where the products come in and say 23% and they're sold on at 23%.
That doesn't make any sense considering we're going to have it in September.
I'm not going to make a decision for the government, but what I'm saying to you, it was pushed out to September.
What I will say is that if you look at the supports that we put in place,
for both the petrol and the diesel, 32 cents for diesel, 27 cents for petrol.
