You know, how do I connect by calming the reactions of the mind?
And there were a couple of key teachers along the way.
Gautama or the Buddha, once they became enlightened, is one of the ones that I think had some of the most profound teachings of the Four Noble Truths.
And it's always interesting because the first truth was that life is suffering.
And I'm always very grateful that they didn't stop teaching there because that would have been a horrible way to live our lives.
The root of our suffering is our attachments.
Those attachments are caused by the mind.
And so if we can become conscious of, you know, the stories that we're constantly telling ourselves, we can actually have the ability within this lifetime to liberate ourselves from that.
And so there are thousands of different meditation techniques.
But the one that the Buddha really taught that I think
and I wanna make sure I'm careful in how I say this.
Every single meditation technique, every single yoga technique that is out there is useful.
There are so many because there have been different people that have been curious and gone, how do I connect to this?
And that became their practice and it worked for them and so they began to teach that and that became a style, so to speak.
And I think it's really important for listeners to go, you know, I tried this once.
