I really like what we've seen out of him.
There's no question that when it comes to physicality,
He's at a deficit compared to some of the true bruiser centers in the NBA, and that's certainly what Avicii Zubac would be considering.
You look at Jackson, he's doing just fine, just fine as a backup big for the, I mean, 77% for the field because everything that he shoots is essentially a dunk, right?
He's just throwing down lobs all day, but 4.1 rebounds, 0.7 blocks in 17 minutes per night.
No issues with Jackson Hayes.
He was a perfect 7-for-7 last game against the Jazz.
Again, all on lobs.
Did get in foul trouble, though, and had a number of moments where the lack of physical strength from Hayes, and he did put on weight over the summer, gained muscle.
I think that has afforded him well.
But against the true monsters in the paint, he struggles.
We saw that against Nurkic, and I think we're going to see that again tonight against David Zubach.
So how the Lakers handle...
the Evita Zubat's problem will be interesting to watch here.
Now, Maxi Kliba can also get minutes in the middle.
He can be particularly physical as well, but he's also not a monstrously big player.
This is where this is one of those games, just like last game, where we're probably going to feel the Lakers not having a bruiser big in the paint.
And that's not even necessarily what DeAndre Eaton is either.
Eaton is just better built to hold his own against those guys.
than Jackson Hayes is.
