George Springer was their anchor offensively last year.
And this year he's just kind of slumping, which really is disappointing because not only is he so, so good on the field when he's anchoring that offense, but he's a huge piece of that clubhouse and a huge piece to this fan base too.
So that's been tough to see.
It's just so many of their key hitters and their big bats have been struggling and they haven't been able to keep a lot of people healthy.
When you look at that injured list,
It's tough.
It's tough.
But here's the other thing I will say.
I haven't given up on the Blue Jays.
You mentioned the standings.
I think in the second half, they could go on a surge.
Vladdy is a second-half hitter.
Historically, he's a second-half hitter.
And if he can get hot and just a few guys from that core lineup and those big bats can get hot, the Blue Jays could be right back in this.
So I haven't given up on them, and I really don't want to because I would love to see them get hot in the second half.
Oh, that was me.
Wait, hold on.
Pocket pancakes, pocket quesadillas, and a pocket tortoise.
Well, listen, he had to have that disc removed from his back and I tried to convince him to bring, I'm not kidding, particles of that disc to the Brewers game and pull it out in the middle of the manager interview and show us what they removed.
Yeah, look at your faces.
