So you always got to bring in outside expertise.

I think someone like Max Tegmark, who has written about these risks for a long time, wrote the book Live 3.0 from Future of Life.

Yeah, I like him.

He's an honest scientist from MIT, someone like this.

We need a bench of people who are our smartest minds.

There's also aspects of the proposals from Dario and Anthropic that I agree with, that there should be peer evaluation.

It's like in scientific publications, you get peer review.

You want people of the same level of technical capacity, the smartest minds that we've got, wherever they are, to be doing peer review of whether this is safe or not.

The problem is this is moving at such a fast pace.

You have to be able to do that very quickly.

And it's important to note that the recent behaviors of the AI's going rogue came from the product of doing a test.

So it was actually hitting the, hey, test this model button that caused it to go rogue.

That's like if you hit test on the nuclear reactor and it causes the meltdown.

So we need to have pre-testing, like a way of evaluating before we kind of go forward.

Hey, are we doing this in the right way?

So I think it's good that politicians are signaling the need for such things.
