If you have AI models that are basically self replicating, meaning they can exfiltrate their weights and copy themselves to other data centers.
And then if they're smart enough to be able to use cryptocurrency, which they do know how to use, by the way, and they can pay for cloud providers to say, hey, I want to get access to your data center.
If they can start spreading like a self-replicating virus, AI is not a tool.
It's more like an invasive species of sociopathic geniuses.
So a kill switch can't prevent a single... If the AI was just locked on one machine, it'd be one thing.
But if the AI can basically copy itself and move between systems...

Well, and over the last few days, there was actually a group that used AI to spread like a worm through WeChat, which is the top Chinese messaging app.
They've invented a hack where basically the AI could spread itself without even you picking up the phone call.
So basically sent what looked like a phone call, but then by answering it,
That basically made the AI sort of transfers.
The point is we were playing with fire in a way that we don't know how to control.
If we were a sane species, we would freeze the frontier right now.
By the way, it would take us 10 years to absorb the benefits of the AI that we have right now.
We don't have to pause AI applied to military tech, meaning we are in a race geopolitically for having AI enabled weaponry.
However, over the weekend, since we last talked, Glenn, I'm sure you saw there was basically an AI model that someone had used that almost triggered the US to actually did trigger the US to move, as I believe it, airships to almost get into a confrontation with China.
