Um I think there's like Google's audience is still at least six times bigger uh within browsers than Chat GPT.

I think another thing that's not obvious in the report, but still comes out, is that Google's US audience is pretty close to the maximum that it can be, given US census data on adults in the United States.
So it's pretty clear that they have to play defense and to avoid erosion, uh, they have to make sure that people

So that could explain some of the AI moves that we're seeing that seem like they're kind of off the cuff or rushed with AI overviews, with AI mode launch.
