And the political promises that they're aware of from Joe Biden, they can see very obviously that they didn't happen.
And sometimes that runs at cross-purposes with some of the other things that the president has done.
But if you say, hey, he didn't give us
voting rights.
Hey, he didn't give us police reform.
That's what he said he was going to do.
And it didn't happen.
Those are very big holes in what happened in the last three years for Joe Biden.
But then there's something else.
And I have to say this and I have to be real about it.
The black community, particularly as I see it, I'm going to speak for my community in South Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
We had, um,
We had a movement that was based in political and social and economic intellectualism that was coming from the 50s and the 60s on into the 70s, right?
And we had tremendous thought leaders that were leading that movement.
They were leading that movement.
We had Ella Baker, and we had Baynard Rustin, and we had Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we had Bobby, we had Hugh, we had Fred Hampton.
We had all types of people who were Angela Davis, who were teaching us to contextualize our world in a way that made sense for us.
Well, I mean, as you know, and as a lot of people watching this know, those people were killed and thrown in jail.
