There was something that happened that I think we don't talk about enough.
Is we turned to celebrities and entertainers to set the political and social rules.
A lot of people did.
For us as a society, right?
So the people that we started to look up... Yeah, like cultural personality.
People we started to look up to, Jay-Z, Michael Jordan, people like that.
We started to look up to capitalism as it was filtered through these people.
I don't think for a lot of people...
that we have an understanding of what's best for us or what we want.
Now that's not me saying that these people are uneducated and I'm not saying that at all.
I'm saying they are very educated to me in things that won't work for our community.
And so to me, when you look up to like, when you've gotten all your social cues from different hip hop artists, when you've gotten all your social cues from different luminaries, well, those people are essentially capitalists that are waging their own PR wars.
And it's hard to tell Donald Trump from them.
I'll just be honest with you.
It's hard to tell.
If you really look, it's hard to tell Donald Trump from Jay-Z.
That's not saying that Jay-Z looks at the world like Donald Trump does.
I'm not saying that at all.
But what I'm saying is you have a guy who is charismatic to the people that follow him, who acts in the interest of capitalism, acts in the interest of making money, and who everybody else around him worships him.
And people look at it and they go, well, that's America.
