And because we don't really understand or we haven't discussed enough, right, what it means, what the carceral system means.
or what freedom means, what universal health care means, what income inequality means, what disparities.
And we haven't really had somebody in the last 30, 40 years to contextualize these things for us.

was about progress, momentum, change, and equality.
He got famous because of that.
He wasn't doing it part time.
When you are a rapper or an actor, you got to rap and act and then read the books on the plane.
That's not what we need.
What we need are people who are reading the books to put it out there.
And then on a plane, they listen to the music.
And we have to put stock into it.
That doesn't mean that all these intellectuals have to say the same things.
Some of them might be more conservative.
Some of them might be more leftist.
But we have to have conversations that are based in fact and thought and realism, real intellectual conversations, other than just listening to what people heard somebody else say.
