So Karen actually lived in a different community and she knew John from when she was in her early 20s.

And then when the pandemic started, she saw him on Facebook and they connected again and they started dating again.
Karen was definitely a bit of an outsider for this group in terms of social status, in terms of professional status.

You know, she was really trying to be the soft one in their lives, and he didn't always like that.
