I mean, if you look at even the way that you can watch games on the TV now, you need so many different channels and sites and subscriptions to watch everything.

Don't even get me started.

It feels like it's more of a commitment to be a fan now than ever before.

Absolutely.

For me, like in the usual run up to say a Six Nations, I will clear the calendar at the weekends.

I'm dedicated.

I'm locked in.

I'm probably in the pub.

But now for the Nations Championship, I couldn't even tell you the fixtures, who were playing or what time without...

Like if you see my Google search history, it's just nation champions pictures.

What time is Ireland playing New Zealand this?

And then you realize it's eight o'clock in the morning.

I think it suffers from the same problem as this World Cup in that it's, and listen, it's not suited for maybe European audiences.

And we can't always complain about that.

You know, time zones mean that they will suit more countries, some countries more than others.

But I worry that the Nations Championship might be deemed initially as failing slightly if their viewership figures aren't great or anything like that.

But it's just such an unfortunate time of year and time of day for Irish fans.

What will be interesting for me to see is in the autumn when you have the finals and everything like that, what the interest will be then.

I reckon it will be a lot higher.

You would hope so.
